 LORD'S LIONS PUPPET TEAM

The name, Lord's Lions, reflects both the fact that everything we do for the church is for the service of Jesus - the Lord - and also remembers the Lion emblem of St Mark's, patron saint of this church.

Early in 2011, a team of people trained under Stephen Cook, leader of the Kingdom Puppet team at St. Mary's, Hollingworth, on how to work puppet characters.

After weeks of training, St Mark's launched its own Puppet Team, the Lord's Lions Puppet Team, the first appearance of which was at the Messy Church Service on 20 March.  Led by Allan Knott, the Lord's Lions puppets now appear regularly at Baptism services, Messy Church and special events.

The team: Lee Linskey, Dane Pearson, Pam Romanski, Allan Knott, and supported by Diane Lindley, supports special services aimed at children and families and special events such as the Summer Fair and Christmas Tree Festival.  If you want to join the team, they practise on Tuesday nights in church.

Please contact Team Leader, Allan Knott, Tel: 0161 343 6400.
